Reincarnation...

Reincarnation is so interesting to learn about. Do I believe it? Nah, but I could be easily swayed just because I think it is fascinating and it would be incredibly awesome if it actually does exist. How cool would it be to be able to live multiple lives?!?!

The Hindu religion believes in Samsara, a chain of births and deaths linked by reincarnation. The Samsara is controlled by Karma. Good karma and/or evil karma is earned by an individual and past down through their various lifetimes. People who have performed good deeds and led moral lives are reborn into higher social classes; those who have failed in these areas are doomed to return as members of the lower classes or as animals.

In Australia, most Aborigines believe that human souls come from spirits left behind by ancestral beings who roamed the earth during a mythical period called Dreamtime. The birth of a child is caused by an ancestral spirit entering a woman's body. The spirit waits in a sacred place for the woman to pass by. After death, the person's spirit returns to the ancestral powers.

"Eight full lives" I whispered against his jaw, my voice breaking. "Eight full lives and I never found anyone I would stay on a planet for, anyone I would follow when they left.  I never found a partner.  Why now? Why you? You're not of my species.  How can you be my partner?" (- Stephenie Meyer, The Host)

The belief of reincarnation stretches across various religions, philosophy, cultures and makes its appearance in countless books, fables, and stories.  It is a fun thing to daydream about.  Why in the world am I talking about reincarnation?  Because when I am reincarnated, I am coming back as an assassin.  How cool would that be?  The thought of being able to integrate myself into any culture, class, or lifestyle makes a part of my soul giddy.  Plus I think it would be bad if I could kill with any type of weapon placed in my bare hands, especially with those.  An assassin?!?! Yep, an assassin and I will tell you why.  I read this book series called the "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J. Mass (check her out here http://sarahjmaas.com/) and all I have ever wanted to learn how to do since reading that book is how to be an assassin.  Yes sometimes I spend my time in a parallel universe but it's fun there! Yep its completely nonsensical (hmmm....does that work there) but this post has killed the past 20 minutes and now I get to eat.  Now go and have a complete nonsense moment! And, read the books.  You'll thank me. They are good.  I like them.
