Confession....I can't cook steak. It always ends up tasting terrible whenever I cook it. Now chicken? Yeah I can cook chicken but chicken is easy. I mean really how hard is it to ruin chicken. Besides you can dump enough Sweet Baby Ray's on it to make it delicious. But steak....um....that's a little different. Besides I hate steak sauce so if it can't be tasty all alone then it is just NASTY. Anyway, I was perusing bodybuilding.com (check it out it has the best recipes on it) and ran across this bad boy. Made it, nailed it, devoured it, going back for seconds sometime soon. This really is super, super good.
Bleu Cheese Petit Sirloin Steak
No I didn't use "grass fed" meat. Too expensive. I just bought good ol' steak. One thing I did though (and this is a new little trick I learned from my perusing) is that I made cross cuts into the steak (you know little cuts going diagonal one way and then little cuts going diagonol the other way to make cute diamonds). I think it made it taste better. Maybe just because it looked pretty when it was all seared. I don't know but I think it did make it more tender.
Now onto fish....Still struggling there. Maybe I just don't like it.
